SAFETY

Kokou Riding Center has now been in operation for over twenty years and we have a lot of experience of horses and riding in our local area. Your safety is important to us. We provide safety helmets for children and adults, and can also supply back protectors for children. We hold all the necessary permits and insurances needed to protect our visitors.
We have both English and Western tack. For beginners we have found that Western is safer... the pommel gives the inexperienced rider a better hold of the saddle. More experienced riders may choose the tack they prefer.
Our horses are well trained and will only do what a rider is comfortable with. None will gallop unless it knows its rider can cope.
No horse is allowed to pass our Guide, unless the Guide is confident the rider is experienced and safe. Then you may go on freely.
